Our boys have had such a positive experience at Safe Splash. The staff are kind and welcoming and are always available to help if we have questions or need support. We have had a variety of instructors in our time there, and all of them have been knowledgeable and great with our kids. Our 4 year old can be quite anxious about new experiences and people, but the staff could not be more helpful with assisting him in all of his transitions (special shout out to Justin for his kindness and patience as he adjusted!). Our boys have become so confident in the water and it has been amazing to watch their relationship with swimming evolve. We would happily recommend Safe Splash Arvada to anyone!

We have loved getting our (now) 18mo in the water at such a young age and helping her learn basic water skills! The instructors are wonderful, the facilities are clean and amenities are great. I appreciate the time taken during class with each kid and the flexibility based on different skillsets, while maintaining a structured learning environment. My kid sings the swim songs on her off days and is so excited to go to "splash" every week. 10/10

The teacher (Amber) mouths the words very clearly—I can lip read the majority of what she says—which is very helpful in a noisy pool environment. She uses fingers, pictures, and physical demonstrations to illustrate what the next task is. She gives high fives and encouragement during and after most tasks. She gives individual feedback and doesn’t seem to compare kids to each other, which is great for siblings!

Safety is a high priority: kids check in and find out what zone they are in, kids are escorted by a staff member to their lesson area when it is time for their lesson, there is always a lifeguard on duty for the whole (small) pool, max class size is four, there is a PVC seat with a railing for the kids to sit on during instruction, each child chooses a toy to hold onto which keeps splashing to a minimum, goggles are required which helps kids stay focused, the adults pick up the kids at pool exit/changing room entrance, the changing room is family style with separate changing stalls with bathrooms nearby with doorless entries. Pool safety and kids’ body safety is prioritized.

Lessons begin on time. Once a month the kids’ adults get a face-to-face update on lesson content, progress, and homework (pool work?). 🙂

The manager wasn’t immediately responsive about diapers not being in the trash can with a lid. My kids were off put by the bad smell. We will see what her assessment/action/inaction is next week.
UPDATE: the owner called and we brainstormed additional ways to encourage diapers to end up in the can with a lid. She was curious, understanding of my kids’ needs, and easy to collaborate with. When we went for the next weekly lesson, the open trash can had recently been emptied and a deodorizer/air freshener made the air smell pleasant. Thank you!

My kiddos used to cry at the thought of getting in the pool, but now they’re confident swimmers, safe swimmers, and they laugh and enjoy themselves! SafeSplash has been amazing and the instructors really care about the kids and helping them achieve their swim goals. Every swim lesson has laughter and fun along with new skills. The staff is also amazing and helpful and the facility is super clean!

My 9 month old daughter absolutely loved her first swim lesson. The instructor explained what we were doing beforehand so there were no surprises and if I was uncomfortable with anything (pouring water on her head, putting her face in the water etc) I could opt out. The lesson was geared towards making it a fun and good experience for the babies and every kid in our parent and tot class was smiling and laughing. I was pleasantly surprised by this as a different swim school we were also looking at had really stressed that crying was common during their lessons, and I was a bit nervous about my daughter having an unpleasant experience. That wasn't the case here, and the hardest part of our lesson was keeping her from drinking the pool water. We can't wait for next week!

My granddaughter had a swim lesson. This place is really nice, organized and the instructor has her swimming. There are 3 in this group. Instructor lets them splash for a count of 10. She has parent come in for one minute to discuss progress. Everything is punctual. There are tables for family to sit at and benches to view.

I’ve been taking my sons to Safe Splash for 8 years now and have had a consistently positive experience! The staff is so personable and they really push my boys to succeed!

We have been coming here for 4 months now since our son was 6 months old. He absolutely adores Ms.Gabrielle the swim instructor and the warm pool. Our instructor is so good at hands on skills with every child each class and is so engaging and animated. She is seriously a gem! The pool is a perfect size and never feels over crowded, plenty of changing room-privacy, benches to watch your child swim, and swimsuits/supplies at the facility as well. (We forgot his swimsuit one time and was able to purchase one on-site)
