I appreciate Dr. Mayberry’s care and professionalism as well as the staff in the office. He answers questions I have in the office and from their portal. His nurse always gets back to me when I send requests or questions in a timely manner. His referral to specialists when needed always been good and he is very conservative when prescribing. I would and do recommend him to others.

Dr. Mayberry and his team were incredible. He took the time to patiently listen to all of my concerns, and everyone was so kind and accommodating. As a new patient, I felt very comfortable.

I'm extremely unhappy with how things have gone. I was transferred to Dr. Mayberry after Dr. Wang left. This has been a nightmare. This particular medication I was prescribed required a prior authorization form. The first PA submitted had two sentences on it, nothing clinical. None of the questions were answered. It was submitted blank. It took an entire month for them to resubmit the PA, only for them to submit the same
identical PA. It was immediately denied because it was a duplicate. In between these PA's being submitted, I fought tooth and nail to get a response from them. To make a long story short, each time they submitted a PA, a piece of information was missing. The PA has several questions that were not answered, it would be submitted blank with additional information attached. Today, the agent at my insurance company finally said they will not take anymore appeals because all the PA's were either blank or choppy and not filled out properly. For example, the agent said that if the first denial required clinical info, they would submit it, but leave out other pertinent information. When a denial would come for that PA, they would submit the pertinent info and leave out the clinical information. Basically, none of the PA's are complete. My sister is a nurse and explained to me how a PA works. Knowing how simple it is frustrates me. They only attempted to contact my insurance once and left a message, and this is after I gave them the phone number. My sister told me that she does all of the corresponding with insurance companies, not the patient. She says that it's the nurse's job to follow up and get all the information possible to have a thorough and complete PA. None of that was done for me.Now, I'm running out of this medicine with no where to turn. If I didn't qualify and was denied, I would be fine with that. But knowing that it's due to their negligence is disheartening.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit with Dr. Mayberry and left feeling that he was on top of my concerns. He took care of concerns we could in his office and I left with follow up instructions!

I am no longer seeing Dr. Mayberry. For one idk why some docs are not listening to the patient especially when they are utilizing insurance that the dr gets a percentage of every time a service is done on a remittance that is sent out for payment after claims are paid therefore if I’m saying I’m having issue or something is going on As a healthcare professional i expect as such. I am really taking my health seriously due to some family illness and deaths that I have experienced and it seems like I was ok just not going because there is no compassion and I now really understand what the patients goes through that I assist with. I am a gastric patient meaning I have to take multivitamins for the rest of my life. I found out I was anemic last year before seeing this Dr however no help. What i will say is that he help somewhat with that issue. However, with the stomach issues and Iron issues I have there was no recommendation of a professional even though I can do it myself but when I was tossed to the side there where I was told to continue to take laxatives instead saying hey I know this Gastric doc you can go here, just told me I can do it myself AFTER I let him know what I know as healthcare professional. Even the Doc who perform my surgery told me not to do that excessively. I know African-Americans have a certain stigma about ourselves but everyone is not trying to get drugs or pop medication and that’s is not us most of us hardly even go to the doc! I am genuinely trying to see about myself and it’s sad that i get more help in the grocery store and health food store then at the doctor office. on top of I can tell he was not very fund of me because of what I look like! Non-verbal speaks louder than your verbal.. Especially when I can hear you next door laugh it up with someone who looks like you. I was nice kind i didn’t go in mad because I know how it feels on both sides of the spectrum. I just wanted assistance because I know my body is not the same as it use to be. I’m getting older. 3 MONTHS 3 MONTHS I FELT VERY FATIGUED TIRED HORRIBLE STOPPED UP and WITH THE HELP OF DRINKING BEET JUICE IT ELIMINATED ALOT OF PROBLEMS. READING THAT IF YOUR D2 LEVELS IS LOW IT CAUSES BONE DISEASE CHILLS AND WEIGHT GAIN which is why I got on Adipex. So i can reset my sleeve which has worked and now I’m actually going to the bathroom without having to take laxatives. But FROM THAT CONVERSATION I WAS QUESTIONED WHY I BEEN ON ADIPEX SO LONG (6months) AND WHEN I TOLD HIM I DONT TAKE THEM LIKE THAT I WAS SIDE EYED BECAUSE IT HAD BEEN A WHILE. IF I WANTED TO GET ADIPEX I CAN GO TO WEIGHT LOSS CLINIC PAY FEES AND JUST GET IT THERE. I JUST CAME TO REFILL CAUSE IT HELP BUT I DONT HAVE TO TAKE A WHOLE PILL I CAN JUST TAKE HALF and as needed and KEEP IT MOVING and when i went to a weight loss clinic I explained that all i want is my energy and levels to come up with out having to take iron and when i spoke with that doc he told me taking half of Adipex is not harmful some ppl do that due to the strength. Now I somewhat still have chills and When I ask for a refill on Vitamins you going of May visit and I’m only asking because I thought that was helping with my Chills and aches due to that. So yes this is a long post but all in all, these doctors it’s a money pit it’s no help and I really see what the patient talks about when they complain about claims but not being taking care of! If I’m asking you for help even natural ways of how I can stop something THAT IS NEW TO ME why not try to help me or Educate me. once you give me the tools I’ll do the rest. I have lost 24lbs and been eating right AND ITS SAD! AS AFRICN AMERICANS THATS WHY WE DONT GO TO THE DOCTOR AS MUCH! WE JUST RATHER DO IT OURSELVES. PS THE STAFF AND NURSE WAS VERY NICE ILL GIVE THAT!

Dr. Mayberry is very concerning of how you are feeling and coming along with referrals he's sent me to. Always has a smile and very very concerning with what's going on and how he can help. Always feel welcome even with the nurse and the front desk associates. Always feel better when I've talked with him.
