Mrs. Katharine is an amazing person and a wonderful teacher. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed attending her classes and she helped nurture my daughter's passion for creative writing.Thanks to the guidance and coaching from her, my 10-year-old daughter recently published her own book. She has been instrumental in helping my daughter develop her writing skills, which has led to significant improvements.She has a very good understanding of my daughter, allowing her to provide tailored teaching and guidance, even when my daughter loses focus. Our 7 year old absolutely loved attending writing camp this summer. She loved getting to write her own stories and focus on her own style. She also blossomed in a way we didn't even expect. Every day when she came home, instead of being worn out and wanting to watch TV, she would want to create more and started playing and setting up her toys in more elaborate ways. My 4th grader participates in one of Katharine's groups--a weekly writing club. Meeting with Katharine each week has sparked a LOVE of writing in my child. Writing club doesn't feel like school or tutoring to my child---it feels like an amazing writing group where her ideas are taken seriously! She looks forward to their meetings every week and eagerly talks about what she is learning and working on with Katharine. My child has learned many writing skills and moves from Katharine, but more importantly the writing club has fostered her agency as a writer. Writing club is so good that after it's over, my daughter keeps writing and revising and doesn't want to stop for dinner! We're so grateful we found Katharine. Her passion, teaching expertise, dedication and just true love of children and their ideas is really something special.

I can't emphasize enough how amazing Katharine and All the Write Colors are!!! My 12-year old child won a few free creative writing sessions through an area raffle 4 months ago, and they've been enthusiastically enjoying weekly sessions since then. This is a child who didn't express any creative writing interest before this experience, but Katharine's talents have cultivated that interest.

Katharine works with a child at their level to tease out their ideas and help get them organized. She weaves in lessons in plot structure, character development, grammar, and so on. She generates so much excitement in my child, my child works on their story for hours unprompted during the week until their next session.

My 3 children have attended some of the very best camps and classes in Texas over the years, including at the Museum of Fine Arts and Museum of Natural Science, Asia Society, and Writers in the Schools in Houston. Katharine and All the Write Colors is among the VERY BEST experiences my kids have had. It's incredibly worthwhile and I'm so happy we found her!
