Dr. Smith is great...the office staff, however, are not. My mother had an appointment today, 6/19, and went to her appointment. The female at the front desk told her her appointment had been cancelled and rescheduled after my mother had driven over an hour for this appointment. The female told my mom they tried to "call her" and when my mom told her she had no missed calls or voicemails she tried to change the story that they sent her a letter....again, when my mom tried to tell her she received no letter about rescheduling the female tried to place blame again saying my mom must have put the wrong address in her file. My mom then pulled out a letter she did receive from the office CONFIRMING her appointment was today, this female then tried to place blame on an entirely different office. Oh, and the letter she did receive had the correct address on there...funny. I can't stand when people don't own up to their screw ups and try to place blame and argue with older patients. It's just unfortunate I was not with my mom today for her appointment.

Given the nature of my visit I couldn’t have ask Dr Sass and his staff to be any better to me. My nerves were already on edge the calming presence made the visit and discussion much easier to understand. Dr Sass explained everything in terms I could comprehend with out being condescending
You need a cardiologist theses are the ones.

I’m so sorry for my goofs. My Monday was having a Monday and I really appreciate the staff accommodating my bad day. They all were so kind while still being professional. I was hesitant about changing cardiologists but today took all my reservations away.

After having a procedure in out patient I was left with a device in the back of my knee. No one had knowledge or certification to do anything with this device. So I was admitted without orders until dr Alvaro Aldana could found. He was found looking at a new car in the parking deck around 930pm. The dr came up and removed the device and discharged me and I got home around midnight. At my follow up appointment dr aldana didn't remember all of this until I reminded him. Then he told me it wasn't a big deal. Me being admitted without orders and no one around certified to handle this device (according to the nurses) and aldana says that is no big deal? Then aldana went to look at my history and after we had talked about how bad my leg hurts and how much more swelling there is and my new chest pains, aldana asked me my name. Not only did he not remember the event and thought it was no big deal, he don't even have my name in front of him. That is when I left. This is the worst dr I have ever met. I am happy to be alive after seeing him. His mistakes and my worsening health is no big deal to him. The worst!!!!

The nurse and receptionist were very nice and very helpful! However, Dr. Dotson left much to be desired. His first words when he walked in the door where “your just a baby” then continued saying it and how there was probably nothing wrong with me. I understand that may very well be true but I’ve been dealing with these symptoms for three years and him not taking me seriously before hearing what was happening made me really mad. It seriously leaves me wondering if he even ready anything the VA sent over seeing as I am not a baby, 31, and that everyone on my mothers side has either had several heart attacks, heart surgery, or diagnosed with a heart murmur by age 35. Even if my symptoms are not related to a heart problem I expected a train professional to act professional. As I’ve said I’ve been dealing with this for three years and the way he acted made me think there is no hope for finding a solution. So instead of feeling hopeful that he was actually going to try and figure out what is wrong with me I now feel like I’m doomed to have these symptoms the rest of my life. I will absolutely not be recommending him to anyone and I will be contacting the VA to let them know how my appointment went as well.
