Love this Thai restaurant in Dearborn. If you are looking for tasty Thai food, give this place a try. Their food is halal too!

They gave some fritters to much on while we waited which is a nice gesture. I got the Tom Yum soup and it has a lot of mushrooms in it. Would have been nice if it had a bit more shrimp but taste was amazing. Also had the fried rice which was absolutely delicious. I definitely want to go back sometime.

I love coming here! The atmosphere is great, and I’m beyond excited that they’re now offering halal hot pot, the first in Michigan! The quality of the ingredients and flavors make it such a unique experience, and it’s perfect for sharing with family and friends. Highly recommend trying it out if you’re looking for something different and delicious!

I had a great experience at Sukhothai in Dearborn Heights! I tried their zabiha sushi and beef fried rice, and both dishes were excellent. The sushi was fresh and well-prepared, and the beef fried rice was flavorful with tender beef. The fact that they offer zabiha options is a big plus for those who observe halal dietary requirements. The service was also attentive, and the overall atmosphere was pleasant.

We love Sakuthai!!! The staff is very friendly, the food is delicious, the atmosphere is very inviting and kid-friendly. The owner is very humble and friendly, she knows us very well and caters to our needs the moment we walk into the restaurant. My son is 6 and he only eats the fried chicken, as soon as she sees him, she orders the chicken and makes him very happy. Her friendly demeanor helped us develop an acquaintance with them! We are so happy to come here regularly and enjoy our time as a family. I recommend trying the drinks and the tea!

This is/was one of my favorite restaurants. I would make the 45 minute drive just to eat here. I love the food and believe the pad Thai curry and appetizer combination platter are delicious.

HOWEVER, I will not be recommending this restaurant to anyone and will actually encourage other not to go. The portion size has exponentially decreased along with the price increasing a lot (not just $1 as stated on their menu). I don’t mind paying as I understand inflation and such. But paying more for smaller portions does make me upset. We used to be able to easily take leftovers home. Now we have to “fight” over who can take more of whichever item while dining in.

Overall, miss the old prices and portions and would not recommend unless you’re a party of 2 or smaller.

I’m not a big fan of Thai food, but the noodles were okay, the drink was sweet, other than that the staff was amazing, but I personally wouldn’t go again it’s not my cup of tea ? the chops in the last picture were delicious they made them themselves ?

I recently visited Sukhothai of Dearborn Heights and while we encountered a few issues at first, I was incredibly impressed with how the owner handled everything. They truly went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience, showing a level of care and dedication that's hard to find these days. The hospitality was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and thoughtful throughout our entire visit.

On top of that, the food was absolutely fantastic. Everything was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. From the appetizers to the main dishes, you could tell a lot of attention to detail went into every plate. The service was smooth, and despite the earlier hiccups, the staff made sure we were well taken care of.

It's rare to find a place that not only serves great food but also genuinely cares about the customer experience. I highly recommend Sukhothai for anyone looking for delicious food and exceptional service. I will definitely be coming back!

Took my family out for dinner, and I wasn’t necessarily impressed.

Atmosphere
The room seems like it could be nice, I didn’t really notice because there was a large party there that had left and their table just sat there dirty for the entirety of my visit. It was really distracting and took away from the experience.

Service
The service was decent, I feel like there were some staffing issues and that our server did the best that she could. One thing I will say is that they aren’t very attentive, seeing as how I received someone else’s order and that made me feel like they may have taken it (partially eaten) from our table to the back and may have given it back to them. Also the menu is pretty confusing.

Food
The food was decent, nothing really to write home about but they had an extensive menu. The chicken lollipops or (wings) were terrible, the Thai iced tea was fantastic, and the pad Thai was okay.

All in all I would say try at your own risk with a 6.5/10
